Update

Well, apparently yesterday was my birthday. Although, had I not been reminded, I probably wouldn’t have noticed.
I really don’t see why so many people make such big deals out of birthdays. Ryan baked me a cinnamon bread thing (I think it’s cinnamon, we haven’t eaten it yet), and Emily is baking me brownies for goodness sake. Tammy bought me a watch that I picked out, which was very nice of her. My parents are helping me with the up-front payment of the purchase of my car (which used to be leased, for all those confused faces). Thassit, and that’s more than I needed. For me, birthdays are just a way of keeping track of how long you’ve been around.
Anyway, half of the people that read my journal didn’t even bother wishing me a happy birthday – F.Y.I. to these people … LiveJournal has Birthday reminders. *poke*
No, I didn’t go out and get drunk. Didn’t even celebrate. The only celebrating we did last night was when Ryan got his Ancient Petrified Leaf off Majordomo. Yes, I’m that much of a nerd, I played WoW all night on my birthday.
Speaking of WoW, I haven’t posted any WoW updates recently because it occurred to me that most of you don’t even play WoW, let alone care about what gear I’ve gotten. However, I’m always happy to blab about my guild and my own WoW progress so post if you want to hear it.
In other news, I’m currently trapped at work because my car is in getting inspected + oil change + apparently I broke my engine deflector or some shit. A big’ole piece of plastic that lives under the engine to keep the gunk out, is my understanding of it. The guy says I must have hit something. I’m not recalling that, but … who knows. Woohoo for an extra $108 charge (I hope he said $108 and not $180, it was hard to hear). He kept pausing like he wanted me to ask him to fix it, which is amusing to me. I brought it in for service. If shits broken, I want it fixed. Thats the whole idea. He’s like “Eventually it’s going to hang down and might cause problems for you,” at which point I realized he probably needs authorization to fix it before he just charges me (no, I didn’t realize this at first … it was 8:30 am and I had woken up 25 minutes ago, after having slept for 4 hours). Anyway, here’s hoping I can keep the car insured under my mother’s policy even though it’s going to be registered in my name. Maybe Sylvie can answer that question for me.
