Your love is… by ChibiMarronchan
Your name is…
Your kiss is… mysterious
Your hugs are… warm
Your eyes… burn into my heart
Your touch is… the only thing I desire
Your smell is… amazing
Your smile is… amazing
Your love is… eternal

To see you when I wake up
Is a gift I didn’t think could be real.
To know that you feel the same as I do
Is a three-fold, Utopian dream.
You do something to me that I can’t explain.
So would I be out of line if I said,
“I miss you”?
I see your picture,
I smell your skin on
The empty pillow next to mine.
You have only been gone ten days,
But already I’m wasting away.
I know I’ll see you again
Whether far or soon.
But I need you to know that I care,
And I miss you.

Charged Up

Posted by JBSil on 3rd May 2005

Had an excellent time this Sunday volunteering at the Hustle For Habitat 5k Walk/Run on campus, organized by a friend of mine. Even though I wasn’t invited until the day before, and I had to be there at 8:30 a.m. on my only day off, it was awesome. Really reminded me of how much I absolutely love volunteering, especially for an amazing cause like Tsunami relief or AIDS. The environment is amazing, the feeling you get on your way home is amazing, it’s just an all around good time. The stress level spikes, when handled well, are even enjoyable afterwards. Thinking back about how you handled something in the heat of the moment when a problem arose, at least for me in my 12 years of volunteering, makes me feel glad that I was there to help. When you can actually make a difference, even on a small level on the day of event, it makes the lost sleep, hours upon end of donated time, cuts, scrapes, bruises, stained clothing, etc. all worth it. Then factor in the money raised to support a cause, and the fact that you gave all this time and effort and made a difference, without them having to waist any of the raised money on paying you, that just makes it better.

Anyway, I got home Sunday afternoon quite tired, but all I could think about is how much fun AWNY is going to be in two weeks. I’ll get about 3 hours of sleep per night, and work 20+ hours days, and then fly back and come straight to work from the airport … but I’m going to love every minute of it. Just like last year, and the 10 years before that. I just hope they reserve me my own golf cart this year… I don’t share well.

Oh, only a week left to sponsor me. Need all your donations in by next Wednesday at the LATEST. And out of 17 emails I sent out, only 4 have sponsored, so I really need your help.
—– I know you can afford $25 to help the millions of people suffering from AIDS and unable to pay for the cost of their medication. All of your money goes directly to cause. And I’m pretty sure it’s tax deductible, but don’t quote me on that.

Update:
One bite, because MandiJ is the awesome.

As an aside, if you don’t want to donate with a credit card, or want to donate less than $25 you can donate by check aswell. Email me for info or comment on this post.

Less than a week left people, come on.
